Original WW2 German SS Dagger Early Vertical Hanger.

This early example has been on a dagger and as a result shows minor wear and age.   The black leather is supple and very flexible.  It is the coffin style, having two-rivet construction.  The inside leather strap is stamped SS - 48 - 35 - RZM with the SS and RZM marking appearing in circles.  The number 35 indicates a 1935 manufacture.  The retaining strap has a nickel plated squared buckle.  The snap clip is solid nickel and the reverse is marked, DRGM.

Great unquestionable original!

Original WW2 German NSKK Dagger - Gottlieb Hammesfahr RZM M7-67-38

WW2 German NSKK Dagger - Gottlieb Hammesfahr RZM M7-67-38

This original 1938 NSKK Dagger belongs to the group of NSKK’s made between 1938 and 1942 with the RZM number on the blade. Transitional in style, it has nickel cross guards are smooth to the touch with crisp edges and precise accent grooves. The tang nut appears to have not had a wrench on it in many years.  The lower reverse cross guard is marked Sw, for Sudwest.

The wood grip is flawless with no chips, cracks or dents.  The nickel eagle shows nice feathering and sharp detail atop the wreath and swastika.  The SA button is a nice flush fit into the wood.

The blade is bright and shiny.  The blade is not so deeply etched with, Alles für Deutschland.  The reverse is etched with RZM M7-67-38, for Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen - Foche.  Slides easily into the scabbard.

The black painted scabbard has the nickel fittings.  About 90 percent original black paint remaining and one dent on the reverse.  All the screws are present and they do not show signs of having been removed.  Ball at the tip has a flat spot on the bottom.

I have included many close-up, detailed photos of this original early RZM NSKK dagger click here.
