Luftwaffe Soldbuch for Hugo Wienandt, who was a Leutnant when it was started.  He was promoted to Oberleutnant, 1 August 1940, and to Hauptmann, 1 January 1941.

Wienandt was born 17 April 1881, Prenzlau-Uckermark.  He was an architecht.  The Soldbuch was started 23 December 1939, by Staff of Luftwaffe Nachrichten Abt. (motorized) 9.


Page 3 has the checks for the promotions that appear on Page 1.  He was with Luftzeuggruppe 7 for the promotions..

Wienandt served with 4 Luftwaffe Nachrichten Abt. (mot) 9 from 20 December 1939 to 11 April 1940.  He was with Luftzeuggruppe 7 Munich, 12 April 1940 to 21 July 1941.  Then there is an entry for  Staff Luft Nachtnichten Ersatz Abt. (mot) III, Luftgau 3 Berlin, with a date of 22 July 1941.  The last entry is for II Luftgau Nachrichten Regiment (mot) 3, and a date of 4 December 1941.


He was married and his wife lived in Berlin.

He was issued his uniforms and a steel helmet, 20 December 1939.

Wienandt received special pay and it is noted in Frankfurt am Main, December 1939.


Aside from footwear, he was also issued socks, January 1942.

He received war pay December 1940, and was pay grade 10.

More pay notations with the last in February 1942.

He was given leave 5 times, all to Berlin, with the last being February 1942.

Hauptmann Hugo Wienandt was discharged from military service, 19 February 1942, shortly before his 61st birthday.  He was given 50 RM separation pay.  Not pictured is a clothing issue car from 1918 when he was a Leutnant, with a communications unit.
