WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for  Army Oberleutnant Ludwig Gegner, Jaeger Regiment. 

Was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class and Iron Cross 1st Class as well as other medals.

After 5 years true service, he was killed fighting the Bolsheviks in the southern sector of the East Front, 11 April 1944.  He was 27.

Back of card has a runic grave marker with his name on it.  Single sided double page card measures about 4.5 x 5.25 inches.

Excellent condition.

WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for  Army Oberleutnant Franz Herrmann, Company Commander in a Wachbataillon. 

Killed 30 January 1942, Sawostjanowa, Russia.  He was 42.

Nice photo wearing a 3 place ribbon bar.

Double sided single page card measures about 2.75 x 4.5 inches.

Includes a slip from the German Graves Office listing him as being promoted to Hauptmann and as killed and buried in Sawostjanowa.

Bundesarchiv lists him with 1 Company Wachbatl. 551, (Land. Schutzen Ersatz Batl 7, Berchtesgaden). H e was killed by an infantry round to the head.

Good condition.

WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Oberleutnant Anton Stimmer, Company Commander in a Nachrichten Unit. 

Killed 11 November 1944, in the southeast.  He was 30. 

Nice photo wearing the Iron Cross 1st Class and a 4 place ribbon bar.

Back of card has a knight.  Single sided single page card measures about 2.75 x 4.5 inches.

Includes a slip from the German Graves Office listing him as being promoted to Hauptmann and as killed in Spuz, Montenegro.

WW2 Army Death Card Leutnant 1945 Untersteiermark

WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Leutnant Fridolin Lintl, Commander in an Infantry Regiment. 

Badly wounded 5 May 1945, and died a day later.  He was 22.  Buried in Untersteiermark.

Back of card has a knight.  Single sided single page card measures about 2.75 x 4.5 inches.

Includes a slip from the German Graves Office listing him as dieing at the main aid station in Pettau and being buried in a cemetery at Celje, Slovenia.

Good condition with a bend to the upper right tip.

WW2 Death card Sterbebild Leutnant Iron Cross

WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Leutnant Josef Anton Magg,  Infantry Regiment. 

Was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class, Infantry Assault Badge in Silver and the Wound Badge. 

He participated in the campaigns in France and Yugoslavia.

Killed in difficult fighting in the East, 25 September 1942.

Back of card has Jesus.  Single sided single page card measures about 2.5 x 4.25 inches.

Includes a slip from the German Graves Office listing him as being killed by Gaitolowo and being buried in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Bundesarchiv lists him as with 1 Company Grenadier Regiment 438.  He was killed by an infantry round to the head.

Very good condition.

WW1 WW2 Death Card Sterbebild Hauptmann 1942

WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Hauptmann Max Barth. 

Fought the wars from 1914 to 1918, and from 1939 to 1942.  He received many military awards.

Killed in the East, 16 June 1942. He was 46.

Back of card has a crucifix.  Single sided single page card measures about 2.25 x 4 inches.

Includes a slip from the German Graves Office listing him as being killed on the roadway between Smolensk and Roslawl about 40km from Roslawl and being buried in Roslawl, Russia.

Bundesarchiv lists him with Armeepferde 550.

Excellent condition.

WW2 German Death Card Sterbebild Panzer attack Charkow

WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Army Zahlmeister Josef Mueller, Infantry Division.  In civilian, he was a Justizinspektor with the Amtsgericht in Laufen. 

He was awarded the War Service Cross 2nd Class with Swords.

Killed in a Panzer attack by Charkow, 22 January 1943.  He was 34.

Back of card has the Virgin Mary.  Single sided single page card measures about 2.5 x 4.5 inches.

Bundesarchiv lists him with Wergf. Anst. 298 and having been killed in Tscheljahino.

Very good condition.

WW2 German Death Card (Sterbebild) for Luftwaffe Obergefreiter Josef Reuel.

Badly wounded in Hungary and died in Amberg, 11 March 1945  He was 22.

Back of card has a religious figures.  Single sided double page card measures about  5 x 4.5 inches.
